The South Side Pediatric Asthma Center offers asthma training to the community. Training is available for staff, volunteers, and other caregivers at schools, day care centers, and other community organizations. The asthma training review the disease, symptoms, and how to manage asthma, including:

• What is asthma?
• Asthma symptoms and triggers
• Managing asthma
• Staying active with asthma
• Asthma action plan

The sessions can be tailored to support the organization’s needs.

SSPAC also offers asthma training for community health workers and clinical staff. These trainings include a more detailed overview of pediatric asthma, inhaler technique, asthma actions plans and 504 plans.
